Dannikkah is the first to admit how difficult it is to run an independent family business in New York City in 2024. With such fierce competition amongst restaurants, a successful delivery operation is crucial to surviving in the restaurant world. “If we’re slow or it’s a rainy day, we can always rely on delivery to bring food to peoples’ homes,” she says.
Sauce has helped bring excellent customer service to Taco Mahal’s delivery operation. “As a small business owner, there are so many things you have to worry about on a daily basis… It’s great to have that peace of mind working with a company that I know is going to handle the customers with the same care I would.”
Furthermore, with Sauce, there are no hidden fees or commissions (sometimes up to 35%) that cut deep into the profits. There is a flat fee with no surprises. She knows exactly what the customer is paying and exactly what is going into their pocket.
Longtime Taco Mahal customer Costa is delighted to support her favorite restaurant through Sauce and feels better knowing that more of the profits are now going to the restaurant, “[that’s] important to me because I want to see them be in business for a long time.” She explains how smooth and easy it is to order from Sauce by tracking the order from her phone and if there’s ever any issue, it’s easy to contact the team at Sauce to solve the problem quickly.
Dannikah sums it up: “Sauce helps us so much from an operational standpoint. I don’t have to have employees contacting third party platforms to do a refund. Or if an item is missing I can simply go on the Sauce app, chat with someone, and they will fix it for me.” Taco Mahal is still growing, with plans to expand in New York and beyond. She couldn’t imagine doing it without Sauce.
